Replacement cards can be ordered within the Float app! This allows you to issue a new card with the same card number, but a different expiry date and CVV! Replacement can only be ordered by administrators at this time.
Note: Replacements can only be ordered for CAD cards ordered after August 1st, 2023 at this time. For Physical USD cards or older CAD cards, an admin must create a new card for you.
If you are a spender or a manager and would like a replacement, please reach out to your administrator to order one for you. The administrator would have to enter shipping information while ordering the card. Once the replacement has been ordered, you will be notified via email!
Admin Instructions
Sign in to your Float account to order replacement cards for your team.
- Navigate to Cards → Physical
- Select the existing physical card you'd like to replace.
- Click on the icon and select “Order replacement card” from the dropdown.
- Populate the shipping information for the replacement card
The old card will remain active until the cardholder receives and activates the new one. The card number will remain the same, but the expiry date and security code will change.
Please ensure you edit your subscriptions to replicate the new numbers, the old cards will not work once the new one is activated.
Lost/Stolen cards
We recommend cancelling and creating a new card in instances where a card has been lost or stolen. You also have the option of ordering a replacement if you would like to hold on to the same card number. If you are ordering a replacement and not cancelling the card please pause the card until the replacement is activated to prevent fraudulent activity.
