Replacement cards are issued to replace a lost or damaged Float card. A replacement card will have the same card number as your original card but a different CVV and expiry.
Pre-activation, the (original) card will appear to be "Locked" in Float. It won't be possible to un-lock it, rather you'll need to follow the below steps to activate the replacement card.
The "original" card will be terminated once you activate the replacement card.
Activate your replacement card through either of the following flows:
To activate your replacement Float card via the activate.floatfinancial.com URL
- Open a web browser and go to activate.floatfinancial.com
- Log in using your Float account credentials
- Enter the last 4 digits of your replacement card
- Your replacement card will be activated!
To activate your replacement Float card manually
- Log in to Float from app.floatfinancial.com
- Go to Cards > My Cards
- To the right of your card, select the "Activate" button
- Enter the last 4 digits of your replacement card
- Your replacement card will be activated!
Once you confirm, the replacement card will be active. The expiry date and CVV on the Card page will match the replacement card you have in hand.
