Only Administrators will have the ability to cancel a card or limit by following the steps below. All cancelled cards cannot be reactivated, and a new card must be issued.
Cancelling a Card
- Log-in to app.floatfinancial.com as an Administrator
- Select "Cards" on the left sidebar
- Select the card you wish to cancel
- On the top right corner of the card page, click the button with three vertical dots
- Select "Cancel Card" from the dropdown menu
- Enter the last 4 digits of the card and select "Cancel Card". This cannot be undone.
Cancelled and will be visible at Cards > Archived section of the cards page. Transactions from cancelled cards will still appear on the Transactions page.
It is not possible to cancel a card without knowing the last four digits; to cancel a physical card that has not yet been received or activated, please reach out to support@floatfinancial.com.
Cancelling a Limit
There's no need to delete the entire card in order to revoke a user's access to funds - you can cancel or reduce the card's limit instead. Both recurring and temporary limits can be cancelled.
To cancel a limit:
Navigate to Cards > Select the Card you would like to edit
Select the limit you would like to delete
Click "Delete". This cannot be undone.

Can I cancel a card with pending transactions?
Yes. It is possible to cancel a card that has pending transactions.
Cancelling the card does not stop or reverse any pending transactions. Merchants can still complete those transactions, and once the merchant finalizes them, they will post to Float in the Transactions page.
Will a card be cancelled if I delete its only spending limit?
No. Deleting the only limit on a card will not cancel the card.
A card without a limit will remain active, but all transactions will be declined for "Insufficient Card Balance" until a new limit is added. To add a limit to a card, see: Setting and Editing Limits on Float Cards
Can I cancel a card or remove a limit using the mobile application?
Yes — but only for your own cards. As an Administrator, you can cancel a card or delete a limit from the mobile app for your Float cards.
You can’t cancel cards or limits for other users in the mobile app. These actions must be completed from the web app (app.floatfinancial.com).
