Do I need to enable Delegate Access in my Float account?
No. Delegate Access is automatically enabled if you are on the Professional or Enterprise plans.
Essentials plan customers do not have access to this feature.
Can I have multiple delegates assigned to me?
Yes, there are no limits on how many delegates you can have as a delegator.
Can I be a delegate to more than one user?
Yes, you can be assigned as a delegate to multiple users within Float.
How will I know if I've been assigned as a delegate?
You'll receive an email notification with the name of the user you've been assigned to assist.
You can also click the 3 dots next to the business name in your Float account on the web app (app.floatfinancial.com) to see who you've been assigned as a delegate for and access that account from there.
Can I assign and manage delegates from the mobile app?
No, not at this time. Assigning and managing delegates only works on the web app (app.floatfinancial.com).

What happens when I remove a delegate?
When you remove a user as a delegate, they will no longer have access to code your transactions and submit reimbursement reports on your behalf.
The user will move from your "Active Delegates" section to your Archived Delegates section within the "Delegation" section of your Profile page.
Can I remove myself as someone's delegate?
No, only the assigning user (i.e., the person who granted you delegate access) can remove you as a delegate.
Are users notified when they're removed as a delegate?
No, users are not notified when they are removed as a delegate.
I have multiple delegates assigned to me. Can any of them work on my transactions at the same time?
Yes, any delegate assigned to you can perform spend-related tasks on your behalf. It works on a first-come-first-served basis.
Activity Logs will show you which users made changes in each transaction and reimbursement report.
Can a delegate see all of the information on my Float account?
No, delegates can only see your transactions, receipts, and submit reimbursement requests for you.
Will my delegate(s) see all of my historical transactions?
Yes, delegates can view and manage all transactions in your account, including historical ones.
Can I control what a delegate can or can't do?
No, not at this time. Delegate permissions are standard, and once assigned, can only manage all transactions and submit reimbursement requests on behalf of the delegator.
Where can I see who made changes on my behalf?
You can see who made specific changes and when by viewing the activity log within each transaction or reimbursement report.

If I remove a delegate, will their actions made on my transactions or reimbursement reports be removed from the Activity Log?
No, removing a delegate does not remove their actions from the activity logs.
When a delegate is removed, they move into your Archived Delegates section within the "Delegation" section of your Profile.
I'm a Spender, can I assign a delegate to myself?
Yes. Spenders, Managers, and Administrator roles within Float can self-assign a delegate.
If you're a Spender who's unsure if they should have a delegate assigned, please reach out to an Administrator to assign one on your behalf.
Can a delegate approve new card or limit requests on behalf of their delegator?
No, delegates cannot approve spend requests for cards or limits on behalf of their delegator.
Delegates can only code transactions, upload receipts, and submit reimbursement requests for their delegator.
Can any user be assigned as a delegate and be a delegator?
No. Only users with Administrator (Primary and Non-primary), Manager, Spender, and AP Clerk roles can be assigned as a delegate or be another user's delegator.
Bookkeepers cannot be a delegate or a delegator.
