If your business is not HRIS-connected for user management, Administrators can change other users' email addresses from the Users page.
Users can change other users' email addresses according to the following role hierarchy:
- The Primary Administrator can change any user's email address, except their own.
- Administrators can change the email address of any Manager, AP Clerk, Spender or Bookkeeper.
- Managers can change the email address of a Spender who reports to them.
How do I change a user's email address as an Administrator?
- Log-in to app.floatfinancial.com
- Go to Users > click a user > Edit
- You will be prompted to complete a Multi-Factor Authentication challenge using a code sent to your email address as a security measure before editing your profile.
- After completing the security challenge, make the desired changes and click "Save".
- Your change will be applied immediately.
After their email address has been changed, the user must log-in to Float with the new email address. Their password will remain unchanged.
Restrictions:
- Users cannot change their own email address.
- Email addresses cannot be changed in Float if your business is HRIS-connected.
- Only Float Support can update the Primary Administrator's email address. Please contact us via support@floatfinancial.com.
