We're sorry to hear that you'd like to close your Float account! If you have any feedback about your decision, we'd love to hear it.
If you're ready to proceed, please follow these steps to close your account smoothly.
Important Considerations
- Only Administrators can close a Float account.
- Once you choose to complete this process, your account will be deactivated and you will no longer be able to log in.
- Download any Float statements you need before closing, as you won't have access to them afterward.
- Ensure Auto-Funding is turned OFF so no new transfers are automatically initiated. Go to Banking > Accounts > click your Cash account > Auto-topup: "Manage" > un-check "Enabled" > Save. Repeat for Auto-paydown on your Charge account if applicable.
Step 1: Withdraw Your Funds
Before closing your account, all funds need to be withdrawn. You can also follow this guide if you need more in-depth information: How to Withdraw Your Funds From Float.
- Log in to app.floatfinancial.com
- Go to Banking > Accounts > Move Funds > Withdraw
- Select the reason "Closing My Float Account".
- In the Comments section, let us know why you're closing your account. We appreciate your feedback!
- Click "Continue".
Your withdrawal request will be reviewed by our team and we will follow up if any additional information is required.
Step 2: Complete Your Account Closure
Once you complete the above steps and withdraw your funds, your account will be closed. Our risk team will review your withdrawal and process it within 2-5 business days. Please note that large withdrawals may take slightly longer.
For any questions or further assistance, feel free to reach out to your account representative or our support team at support@floatfinancial.com - we're happy to help!
