How to earn the referral reward

To qualify for the reward:

  • The referred business must sign up using your unique referral code
  • The referred business must spend at least $25,000 CAD on Float within 90 days of their first transaction

Once these conditions are met, both you and the referred business will receive your $500 rewards.

 

Where do I find my referral code to share with others?

You can find the referral code you can share in Float on both the web application and mobile app.

Float Web Application

  1. Log in at app.floatfinancial.com.

  2. Select your Profile icon in the top right corner (next to Help) or go to Settings > User Settings

  3. Click Profile

  4. Your user profile will open and you can view your Referral Code (beside the Phone Number field)

 

Float Mobile App

  1. Open the Float mobile app.

  2. Open Settings by tapping the greeting text (for example, "Good morning" or "Good afternoon").

  3. Under Profile and accounts, tap your name to open your profile.

  4. Under Contact and login information, you’ll see your Referral code.

 

When and where do I enter a referral code that I've received?

The referred business should enter the unique referral code during the initial sign-up process. You can sign up for Float from: welcome.floatfinancial.com 

Important: If the referral code is not entered during sign-up, we won't be able to honour the reward.

 

Referral program rules

  • This offer is only valid for new sign-ups (not existing customers)
  • Only one referral code can be used per new business sign-up
  • Referrals are not eligible if the referring and referred businesses have a parent-child relationship or have a multi-entity structure
    • These are considered self-referrals, and rewards will not be issued to either party

  • A limited form of “self-referral” is allowed only if an individual serves as an Administrator across multiple independent businesses

    • In this scenario, the businesses must be legally and operationally independent (not subsidiaries or related entities)

    • Common examples include fractional CFOs, bookkeepers, or consultants who manage Float accounts for several separate companies and refer each business to Float

 

Are there limits on the number of referrals you can make?

There’s no limit to how many businesses you can refer to Float.

Keep spreading the word and earn $500 each time someone signs up and qualifies!

 

How are referral rewards paid out?

At the end of each month, our team reviews all referral sign-ups.

If your referral meets the spend requirement within 90 days:

  • You’ll receive a $500 gift card via email

  • The referred business will receive a $500 Float cashback award in their Float account, along with a confirmation email
