Transaction Export Stages
The month-end experience is organized into three stages. These help you track progress, review details, make necessary updates, and complete exports with confidence.
Navigate to the Accounting page > Transaction Export, to export transactions to your accounting system, following these three stages:
1. Needs Review:
All transactions from the selected date period appear here first.
Review transaction details and make any required changes
-
Fix any compliance issues. The "Status" column will show which transactions are compliant with your spending policy, and if they are valid for export
- Selecting a transaction > Transaction Details > Compliance, will show the reason the transaction is not compliant with the spending policy
- Selecting a transaction > Export Requirements, will show whether the transaction is valid for export or not
- Select the "Ready to Export" button in the "Actions" column on the right-hand side to move the transaction to the "Ready for Export" stage
- If the "Ready to Export" button is greyed out, it's because the transaction is not valid for export. Select the transaction > Export Requirements, to see why the transaction is not eligible for export
2. Ready for Export:
Transactions move here once they’re marked as ready to export from the "Needs Review" stage.
Transactions can still be edited individually or in bulk before export
Export transactions to a CSV. For details, see: How To Export Transactions in CSV
-
Export transactions to your connected accounting system by selecting the "Export" button to the right of a transaction
- You can bulk select multiple transactions and select the blue "Export" button in the bulk edit settings
3. Exported:
All successfully exported transactions appear in this stage.
- The status column shows the export date and which accounting sync the transaction was exported to
