You can add your Float physical or virtual cards to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on your phone or smartwatch for quick and easy business spending. Once set up, you can tap to pay anywhere mobile wallets are accepted.

Note: Float cards are not currently supported in Samsung Wallet. You can still use Google Wallet on Samsung devices.
Adding a Float card to a mobile wallet
Cards can only be added directly from Apple Wallet, Google Wallet and the Float mobile app—not from third-party apps.
To add a virtual or physical card from the Float mobile app:
- Open the Float app.
- Tap the "Cards" icon > "Add to Apple or Google Wallet".
- Enter a Card Name.
- The card will be added to your mobile wallet.
To add a physical Float card:

Open your Apple or Google Wallet app.

On iPhone, tap or hold your card close to your phone, or take a picture of the back of the card.

On Android, take a picture of the back of your card.

Follow the prompts on your phone to complete identity verification and finish adding the card.
To add a virtual Float card:

Log in to app.floatfinancial.com.

Go to "Cards" and select the virtual card you want to add.

Click "Show Details".

Take a picture of the card details in your mobile wallet app.

Follow the on-screen steps to complete authentication.
Important: If you are re-adding a previously-added card to your Apple wallet, on the "Add +" screen choose "Debit or Credit Card" instead of "Previous Cards"
Adding a Float card to a smartwatch
You can also add your Float card to an Apple Watch or a Google-enabled smartwatch.
How to add a Float card to your Apple Watch from the Apple Watch app:

Open the Wallet app on your Apple Watch

Tap the three dots > click Add Card > choose "Credit Card"

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete adding your Float car
How to add a Float card to your Apple Watch from the Apple Watch app on your iPhone:

Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone

Tap "My Watch" > tap "Wallet & Apple Pay" > tap "Add card"

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete adding your Float card

How to add a Float card to Google Pay on your smartwatch:

Open the Google Wallet app on your smartwatch

Tap "Get Started"

Set up a screen lock if you haven't already

Follow the instructions on your phone to add your Float card
Note: This process only adds your credit card to your Google Wallet app on your smartwatch, not on your phone
Card authorizations
When adding a Float card to a mobile wallet, the wallet provider may place a small temporary charge for verification. This will be reversed and will show as a $0 transaction in your Float account. No receipt or categorization is needed.
Tap limits

CAD cards in digital wallets: Float does not set limits, but merchants or networks often cap tap transactions at around $250.

USD cards in digital wallets: No fixed limit, but purchases over USD $100 may require a merchant signature at checkout.
Wallet card limits
The number of cards you can add depends on your device and wallet:

Apple Wallet (iPhone 8 or later): up to 12 cards

Apple Wallet (iPhone 7 or earlier): up to 8 cards

Google Wallet: no limit

Samsung Wallet: not supported
These limits apply to all cards in your wallet, not just Float cards.
Deleting a card from your wallet
To remove a Float card from your mobile wallet:

Open your mobile wallet

Select the card you would like to delete

Follow depending on your phone:

For iPhone, Tap
> Tap "Card Details" > Tap "Remove Card" -
For Android, Tap
> Tap "Remove Card"

The cards will now have been removed from your wallet and will no longer be usable.
