What currencies does Float support?

Float cards are offered in two currencies! CAD and USD. They can also be used for making transactions in foreign currencies.

Float CAD 🇨🇦

Float accounts default to CAD cards. Our CAD program is supported by Visa and is funded with a CAD bank account.

Float USD 🇺🇸
New users can sign up for a USD account at registration, and existing users can apply for the USD program through the funding page in their float accounts. Float’s USD program is supported by MasterCard and is funded through a Canadian-domiciled USD bank account (read more here). Float USD cards issued after July 2024 that start with 5191 include a suite of exclusive benefits such as car rental insurance.
