Once Float is connected to Slack, Admins can configure user-specific notifications.
Connect Slack Users to Float
Navigate to the Users page in Float.
Locate the "Connect" button in the Slack column:
Match the Float user to their corresponding Slack user.

Once each user is matched, they will need to type the action /float-link anywhere in their Slack account (please ensure the forward slash " / " is included)
For example, create a DM to yourself and type and send /float-link as a DM
Once this is complete, you will start receiving Slack notifications
After connecting, users will start receiving Float notifications in Slack.
These include:
Spend request approvals
Missing receipt alerts
Transaction notifications
How Slack Notifications Affect Other Notification Types
When a user connects their Float account to Slack:
Transaction, approval, and receipt notifications are sent via Slack instead of email.
If a user adds a phone number to their Float profile or installs the Float mobile app:
Notifications will then be sent via SMS or mobile push notification instead of Slack.
- To resume receiving notifications via Slack, users must remove the phone number from their user profile and turn off mobile push notifications.
