Enhanced Identity Verification is a more detailed identity check. If you’re completing Enhanced KYC, the tips below will help ensure your verification is submitted correctly and processed without delays.
1. Use a Valid Government-issued ID
- You can use the ID from any country. When selecting your ID country, choose the same country that issued your ID
- Example: If your ID is issued in Canada, select Canada as your country code
- Ensure your ID is valid and unexpired. You can provide one of the following acceptable IDs:
- Canada: Driver’s licence, passport, permanent residence card, or photo ID card
- USA: Government-issued ID, passport, driver’s licence, or residence permit

2. Enter Your Legal Details Exactly as They Appear on Your ID
- Use your full legal name (no nicknames or abbreviations)
- Enter your date of birth correctly
- Enter the same residential address that appears on your ID or official records
- Ensure every detail you enter matches your ID exactly
3. Upload a Clear Photo of Your ID
- Capture the full ID (no edges cut off)
- Place the ID on a flat surface and take a photo straight on
- Do not hold the ID in your hand or take it beside your face
- Avoid blur, glare, shadows, or reflections
- Upload a colour photo taken with your camera

4. Complete the Selfie Step
- Take the selfie in a well-lit area.
- Keep your face centred and clearly visible
- Remove hats, glasses, or face coverings
- Follow the on-screen prompts (eg, turn your head left/right)
