How to Add Your Personal Bank Details to Receive Reimbursement Payments

To receive direct Reimbursement Payouts from Float, Spenders need to have their bank details for payout configured. Spenders can add their own banking information. Administrators can add another user's banking information, but cannot view or edit details later; any updates must be made by the Spender.

Canada-based users can connect a Canada-domiciled CAD bank account to receive reimbursement direct payouts in CAD. 

USA-based users can connect a USA-domiciled USD bank account to receive reimbursement direct payouts in USD.

Adding Your Bank Account Information

Employees can connect their bank account through Plaid or by configuring the connection manually.


Connecting Your Bank from the Float Web App

  1. Log-in to app.floatfinancial.com
  2. Navigate to Settings > Profile 
  3. Sign into your bank via Plaid to instantly connect your account, or choose Manually Connect Account to enter your banking details.


Connecting Your Bank from the Float Mobile App

  1. Login to the Float Mobile App
  2. Click your initials in the top-left corner of the to open Settings
  3. Navigate to "Payout Details"
  4. Manually enter your banking details or select "Connect with Plaid" to search for your bank.

 

Adding a Spender's Banking Information as an Administrator

  1. Log-in to app.floatfinancial.com 
  2. Navigate to "Users" in the left sidebar > search and select the user you want to add banking information for 
  3. Navigate to "Connect Bank" section > click "Edit"
  4. A verification code will be sent to your email address with the subject line "Elevated Access Request" > Enter the verification code 
  5. Enter the user's institution, transit, and account numbers > click "Connect Account"
    • We support direct payouts in CAD & USD

Please note: No user (including Administrators) can view or edit another user's already-connected banking information. After an Administrator adds a Spender's banking information, it can only be viewed and edited by the Spender themselves.
