This help centre article will guide you through the necessary steps to take when your card has been lost, stolen or compromised. Learn how to protect your finances, report the incident, and prevent unauthorized transactions to ensure the security of your Float card.
The first thing you want to do when your Float card has been lost, stolen or compromised is to pause you card.
How to Pause Your Card
Spender/Manager:
- Visit app.floatfinancial.com through your desktop
- Select "Cards" on the left sidebar
- Select the Card you wish to pause
- Select "Pause Card" on the top right corner of the page
In the event fraudulent transactions were made on the lost card, you can complete a transaction dispute by following the steps on this help centre article, "Disputing a charge on your Float card".
Administrator:
As an Administator, you will have the option to pause and unpause for all users.
To pause a card:
- Visit app.floatfinancial.com through your desktop
- Select "Cards" on the left sidebar
- Select the Card you wish to pause
- Select "Pause Card" on the top right corner of the page
To unpause a card:
- Visit app.floatfinancial.com through your desktop
- Select "Cards" on the left sidebar
- Select the Card you wish to unpause
- Select "Resume Card" on the top right corner of the page
If a card has been paused with the reason "Paused by Float", please reach out to support@floatfinancial.com to unpause.
Cancelling a Card
- Visit app.floatfinancial.com on the desktop
- Select "Cards" on the left sidebar
- Select the card you wish to cancel
- On the top right corner of the card page, click the button with three vertical dots
- Select "Cancel Card" from the dropdown menu
- Enter the last 4 digits of the card and select "Cancel Card". This cannot be undone.
Cancelled and will be visible at Cards > Archived section of the cards page. Transactions from cancelled cards will still appear on the Transactions page.
