A virtual or physical card will show "$0.00 Spending Power" when the card does not have an active temporary or recurring limit on it.
If the card was created/requested without a limit, the default limit will be $0 and the card's spending power will be $0, even if the business's Cash (or Charge) account is funded and has an available balance.
How can I Resolve This?
If you are a Spender or Manager:
Only Administrators can directly set or edit card limits on existing cards. As a Spender or Manager, you can submit a spend request for a Temporary or Recurring limit on your card.
To do so:
- Log in to app.floatfinancial.com or the Float mobile app
- Select the "Spend Request" button or tap the "+" icon in the mobile app
- Under "Select Float Card" > Select an Existing Card from the drop-down menu
- Add a note to the request > Select the "Limit Type", either a Recurring or Temporary limit > Input the limit amount and the renewal date (Recurring limit) or the expiration date (Temporary limit)
- Select "Submit" to submit your request
- The request will be sent for approval according to your business's policies
- Once approved, this limit will immediately become active on your card
