What types of transactions are included in Transaction Reviews?
Card transactions that are posted, aren't yet exported and require review according to the policy configuration are available for Transaction Review
Not included:
- Pending transactions
- Refunds
- Cashback
- Float billing charges
- Refunds for excess cashback, cashback refunds, or any exceptional Float-funded refunds
Any transactions that have been split into multiple line items will be considered one transaction for Transaction Reviews, and can only be routed to a single individual.
Transactions made before Transaction Policies were enabled will not be routed for review. Creation and/or changes to Transaction Review Policies always only affect new transactions created going forward.
Can reviewers add missing information to a transaction as part of the review process?
Yes, reviewers can edit transactions during review to provide missing information, attach a receipt and/or attach supporting documents.
I have added/edited Transaction Review Policies, will the changes be reflected immediately?
Changes to Transaction Review policies and the creation of new policies will apply to new transactions created going forward and will not be applied to already-existing transactions.
The policy in place at the moment a transaction is settled and posted dictates what review is required (if any).
If the relevant policy is changed after a transaction has been posted or while a transaction is awaiting review, those changes won't be reflected on the existing transaction.
If a transaction was pending before a Transaction Review Policy was configured but has since posted after the review policy was configured, will this transaction require review?
Yes, transactions become eligible for review when they are posted and will follow the Transaction Review policy that is in place at that time.
Can Spenders see Review Policies?
Spenders are not able to see the specific Review Policy or the reviewer assigned to their transactions. However, they are able to see the review status of their transactions.
I have added/edited Transaction Review Policies, will the changes be reflected immediately?
Changes are reflected in the policy immediately but are only applicable to transactions that are posted after after the change was made.
How often do reviewers receive notifications regarding transactions that need to be reviewed?
Reviewers will receive an email detailing the transactions that are awaiting review every Thursday at 12 PM EST. The notification will include the number of transactions requiring attention from the designated reviewer and a link to the Transactions page in Float.
Why am I being notified that a transaction requires my action in the Needs Review tab?
Your company has set up Transaction Reviews, and indicated that you are a Reviewer. You can reach out to your account’s Primary Admin for more information on the responsibility of this role. To learn how to mark a transaction as permitted or not permitted please view Marking a Transaction as Permitted or Not Permitted.
