FAQs
Can I still use Float's Standard CSV?
Yes! Float’s standard CSV is still available. You can also choose the Standard CSV or any new templates you’ve created at the time of export.
How can I request new fields or features for the CSV builder?
We’d love your input. Share your feedback here!
Is it possible to change the transaction time zone in the CSV builder?
When exporting card transactions using a custom CSV, the default time zone is UTC, but this can be changed to "Local".
To change the transaction time zone in a custom CSV:
Set Payment > Transaction Capture DateTime
Use the filter to select "Local"
Transactions exported using this custom CSV setting will use the exporting user’s system time zone.
How can I see tax exempt amounts in my exported CSV?
Tax exempt amounts are now visible on transactions in the Transaction Export screen, and you can include them as a separate column in your CSV export.
To do this, make sure you add the "Tax Exempt" field to your CSV template using the CSV builder.
Please note: The Transaction Total = Subtotal + Tax Amount + Tax Exempt Amount
Why is the "Float Transaction ID" field blank in my export?
If the 'Float Transaction ID' column is empty:
- Go to the template in the CSV builder
- Delete the field and add it again
- Save and re-export the file
This field might not have saved correctly the first time.
How can I see the tax components from multi-part tax codes in my exported CSV?
You can add the tax component amounts from multi-part tax codes to your CSV export template.
To do so:
1. Navigate to the Custom CSV builder page in settings
2. Add Taxcode > Tax Component to the CSV template
This will automatically pull all of your components into your CSV, so you don't need to select each component individually.
