Your bank account powers your Float Cash account, bill payments, and reimbursements. If you need to connect a new account, set or change your funding source, or disconnect an old one, this guide walks you through every step.
Please note that only Administrators can set the funding source and request bank account connection changes and disconnections.

Setting your Funding Source
When you connect your first bank account to Float, you'll need to set it as your funding source. This account will be used to fund your CAD or USD Cash account, bill payments, and reimbursements.
To set your funding source:
- Login to app.floatfinancial.com
- Navigate to Accounts > Bank Connections
- Select the drop down menu beside the connected bank account
- Click 'Set as funding source'
Changing your Bank Connection
To change the bank connection used as a funding source in Float, please see the steps below.
If the bank account is already connected and verified in Float:
Upload a recent PDF statement of the new account to:
Settings > Business Documents > Extra Documents-
Email support@floatfinancial.com with:
Subject line: Your Business Name - Change Funding Source
Confirm that the PDF statement has been uploaded

Include the last 4 digits of:
Your current funding source
The account you'd like to use instead
If the bank account is not yet connected or verified:
Connect the new bank account
Upload a recent PDF statement of the new account to:
Settings > Business Documents > Extra Documents-
Once the account is verified, email support@floatfinancial.com with:
Subject line: Your Business Name - Change Funding Source
Confirm that the PDF statement has been uploaded

To disconnect a bank connection, contact support@floatfinancial.com with the following:
Subject line: Your Business Name - Disconnect Bank Connection
