- You can also enter without making a payment. The no-purchase form earns five entries.
- Float draws six winners at random: one First Prize and five Second Prizes. Your odds depend on the total number of eligible entries.

Who can enter
Your business is eligible if it:
- is a Canadian business using Float for business purposes only
- has an active, verified Float account in good standing, with no amounts overdue under the Terms of Service
- opened its Float account before April 20, 2026
- hadn't completed a Bill Pay or Send Money payment through any account in its Account Group before October 20, 2026
Float employees and their immediate families can't enter. Anyone previously disqualified from a Float promotion can't enter either.
An Administrator enters on behalf of the business. They must be the age of majority where they live, and they confirm they're authorized to enter and accept a prize for the business.
How Account Groups work
- An Account Group is a parent account and all of its child accounts. A business with a single account is its own Account Group.
- Entries from the parent and every child account are added together. Child accounts don't enter separately.
- Each Account Group can win a maximum of one prize, no matter how many accounts, subsidiaries, affiliates or Administrators it has.
- If Float determines that several accounts are under common ownership or control, it can treat them as one Account Group.
How to enter
Option 1: Make a qualifying payment
Pay a vendor through Float during the raffle period. Each Qualifying Payment earns one entry. There's nothing to sign up for.
A Qualifying Payment is a payment to a vendor that is either:
- a Bill Pay payment that reaches Paid status, or
- a Send Money payment that's sent through Float
The payment must be started and completed between October 20 and November 30, 2026. Send Money payments only count once you've sent Send Money payments to at least two different vendors during the raffle period.
A vendor is a third-party payee. It can't be your business, another account in your Account Group, or a business under common ownership or control with yours.
Option 2: Submit a no-purchase entry
- An Administrator completes the online entry form between October 20 and November 30, 2026.
- Enter your legal business name, the Administrator's full name, email address and phone number, and a short statement on why your team deserves a holiday party.
- Submit the form.
Each Account Group can submit one no-purchase entry, which earns five entries. Automated, bulk and third-party submissions aren't accepted.
What doesn't count
These don't earn entries:
- Float Card transactions, including Pay by Card
- Reimbursements
- Payments to your own business, another account in your Account Group, or a business under common ownership or control
- Transfers between accounts and transfers into your Cash balance
- Bills marked as paid outside Float
- Fees, interest and other amounts charged by Float
- Payments that are cancelled, returned, reversed, refunded or disputed. Float removes their entries, even if this happens after the raffle ends.
- Payments Float determines were split or structured mainly to earn entries rather than for a genuine business purpose. Float may combine payments it believes were split into one.
Prizes
There are six prizes, with a total approximate retail value of CAD $15,000.
- First Prize (1): CAD $10,000, credited to the winner's Cash balance. It's meant for your team's holiday spending, but you can use it for any business purpose the Terms of Service permit.
- Second Prizes (5): a CAD $1,000 credit on a Float Card, meant for a team dinner of your choice. The credit has no cash value, can't be withdrawn or applied to amounts you owe Float, and can't be transferred.
Prizes go to the business. The Administrator accepts on the business's behalf. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and can't be transferred or resold.
The draw and winner confirmation
- On December 1, 2026, Float draws entries at random in Toronto. The first eligible entry drawn wins the First Prize. The next five win Second Prizes. Once an Account Group's entry is drawn, its other entries are removed from the remaining draws.
- Within 2 business days, Float contacts each potential winner's Administrator on record by email and phone.
- Within 5 business days of first contact, the Administrator must reply, correctly answer a time-limited math skill-testing question without help, and sign and return Float's Declaration and Release form.
- Float credits the prize within 10 business days of confirming the winner.
If Float can't reach a potential winner, or the winner doesn't complete these steps or is found ineligible, the prize is forfeited and Float may draw another entry.

How do I know if my business is eligible?
Float emails customers who meet the eligibility criteria. Your business also has to be in good standing and have opened its account before April 20, 2026. It can't have completed a Bill Pay or Send Money payment before October 20, 2026.
Do I need to opt in?
No. Float counts qualifying payments automatically. If you'd rather enter without paying a vendor, an Administrator can submit the no-purchase entry form.
Do I have to pay to enter?
No. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. You can enter with the no-purchase form, or earn entries through your Bill Pay and Send Money payments.
How many entries do I get?
You earn one entry for each Qualifying Payment. A no-purchase entry earns five entries.
Where can I see how many entries I have?
Float doesn't show an entry total. Your entries come from the number of qualifying payments you've completed.
Do card payments count?
No. Float Card transactions, including Pay by Card, don't earn entries. Only Bill Pay payments that reach Paid status and Send Money payments count.
Why didn't my Send Money payment earn an entry?
Send Money payments only count once you've sent Send Money payments to at least two different vendors during the raffle period. Payments to your own business, or to a business under common ownership or control, don't count.
What happens to my entry if a payment is reversed?
Float removes the entry for any payment that's cancelled, returned, reversed, refunded or disputed. That applies even if it happens after the raffle ends.
I have child accounts. How does that work?
Float adds up entries across your parent account and all of its child accounts. They count as one Account Group, so they get one set of entries and can win one prize.
What are my odds of winning?
They depend on how many eligible entries Float receives during the raffle period.
Can my business win more than one prize?
No. Each Account Group can win a maximum of one prize. Once an Account Group's entry is drawn, its other entries are removed from the remaining draws.
Do I have to pay tax on a prize?
Winners are responsible for working out and paying any taxes on a prize, including income inclusion, GST/HST or reporting requirements. Float doesn't provide tax advice.
