If you've initiated a topup to your Float Cash account, you can cancel it - but only within a short window before the payment begins processing through the banks. This gives you a safeguard in case a topup was created in error or for the wrong amount.
Key things to know before you start:
- Only the admin who initiated the topup can cancel it
- Cancellation is only possible for a short window after the topup is initiated
- Once our banking partner has begun processing the payment, it can no longer be cancelled
- Cancelling a topup cannot be undone
How to cancel a topup?
After initiating a topup from within Float, to cancel it:
- Go to Accounts > Funding History
- To the right of the recently initiated topup, select "Cancel Payment"
- A pop-up will appear, select the "Cancel Payment" button
Once cancelled, the status of the topup will update to "Cancelled" in the Funding History tab of the Accounts page.
Who can cancel a topup?
Only the admin who initiated the topup is able to cancel it. Other admins on the account will not see the cancel option for a topup they did not initiate.
When can a topup be cancelled?
A topup can only be cancelled during the short window after it has been initiated in Float, and before the bank has started processing it.
- If you cancel within this window, the topup will be marked as Cancelled
- If it's too late to cancel the topup, you'll receive an error indicating the topup has already been initiated by the bank and can no longer be cancelled
- It is not possible to cancel auto-topups
