What is the AI Spend Promotion?
The AI Spend Promotion gives eligible new Float customers 3% cashback on purchases made with approved AI-native vendors, up to a maximum total reward of $500 per customer.
Who is eligible for the promotion?
The promotion is available to new Float customers who sign up with the code "AISPEND" during signup during the enrollment period (July 29 - August 31, 2026)
Existing Float customers are not eligible for this promotion.
How long do customers have to earn cashback?
Eligible purchases made with approved AI vendors until October 31, 2026 will count toward the promotion.
How much cashback can customers earn?
Customers can earn 3% cashback on eligible AI vendor spend, up to a maximum total promotional reward of $500.
Can customers still earn Float’s regular 1% cashback?
Yes.
Customers can continue earning Float’s standard 1% cashback on eligible spend over $25,000, as usual.
The AI Spend Promotion only changes how cashback is calculated for eligible AI purchases:
- Eligible AI spend: Earns up to 3% cashback, subject to the $500 total promotion cap.
- Other eligible spend: Can continue earning Float’s standard 1% cashback on spend over $25,000.
The promotion does not prevent other eligible purchases from earning standard cashback.
Can customers earn 1% standard cashback plus an additional 3% on AI spend?
No. Cashback does not stack on the same AI transaction.
Eligible AI spending can earn a maximum of 3% total, not 4%.
If an eligible AI transaction has already earned 1% through Float’s standard cashback program, the promotional payout will provide the remaining 2% so that the customer receives 3% in total.
For example:
- A qualifying AI purchase earns 1% through the regular cashback program.
- Float provides the remaining 2% as part of the promotion.
- The customer receives 3% total on that purchase.
All promotional cashback remains subject to the maximum total reward of $500 and will be calculated and paid after the promotional period is over.
Why do I see only 1% cashback on an AI transaction?
Float’s standard cashback program continues to operate normally throughout the promotion.
As a result, an eligible AI transaction may initially earn 1% through the regular cashback program. The remaining promotional amount will be calculated and paid after the promotion ends so that the total cashback on the eligible transaction equals 3%.
The customer will not receive 1% monthly plus another full 3% later.
Which AI vendors qualify?
Eligible AI-native vendors only, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor, Perplexity, Midjourney, Replit, ElevenLabs and more. AI features bundled into other software (like Notion) don't qualify.

When will my business receive their promotional cashback?
Promotional cashback will be paid as one lump-sum reward within three business days after the promotional window ends on October 31, 2026.
The payment will reflect your business' total eligible AI spend during the promotion period, less any standard cashback already received on those transactions.
Why isn’t the promotional cashback appearing on the customer’s monthly rewards statement?
The AI Spend Promotion is calculated separately from Float’s standard monthly cashback program.
The full promotional amount will not appear on your regular monthly rewards statement. Instead, the final promotional reward will be calculated after October 31 and paid as a lump sum.
