Creating and approving bills in Float is free on all plans. However, sending payments through Float (EFT, ACH, or wire) includes a small fee per transaction.
As of August 1, 2025, EFT and ACH payments no longer incur fees. EFT and ACH payments made prior to August 1, 2025 incurred a $1 per-transaction fee.
Per-Payment Fees
- EFT (CAD): No fee
- ACH (USD): No fee
- Wire Transfers: $20
These fees apply to all payments made through Bill Pay, regardless of whether they're funded from your Float Cash balance or a connected bank account.
Note that fees are per payment and not per batched payments.
When are fees charged?
Payment fees are billed monthly in arrears:
- You’ll receive a summary invoice on the 1st of each month
- It covers all bill payment fees from the previous month
- The total is automatically deducted from your Float Cash balance
Example: Fees from September are invoiced and deducted on October 1st.
