In Float, User information can be edited at any time! Some information can be edited by your accounts Administrators/Primary Administrator and other information must be changed by Float Support! We'll outline exactly why this is and how you can change any user information with Float!
✅ Administrators CAN change in Float:
- Users Role in Float (ie. Spender, Manager, Admin)
- Title
- Assigned Manager
❌ Administrators CAN NOT Change in Float:
- User's Email Address
- User's Full Legal Name
- Make any changes to the Primary Admins' account; any changes to the Primary Admin account must be completed by support following these steps here

A: Administrators cannot change all user information in Float due to Float's legal obligation to have the most up-to-date and verified user information at all times. ✍️ How to Edit User Profiles in Float:
- Head to the 'Users' page in Float by navigating from the sidebar on the Float home page, or click the link here to be sent to this page: https://app.floatcard.com/users
- Find the user you wish to make changes to using the search bar at the top of the page!
- Click the 'Edit' button under the 'Actions' column
- Make any changes that are necessary and click 'Save' at the bottom of the screen!

📋 How to Change a Users Legal Name:
To make changes to a user's Legal name on Float, please email support@floatcard.com with the following information:
Please note: Only Primary Admins can make these changes on behalf of a user on Float
Subject: Changes to {User's Name} User information - Business Name
CC: The User who changes will affect
- A copy of your gov't issued ID for ID verification (we cross reference this with the ID used to sign up with Float to confirm your identity)
- Formal request in the body of the email requesting the change to be made.
Once Float's support team verifies the Primary Admins information, we will correspond with the User to verify any documentation confirming the change of Legal name.
📧 How to Change a Users Email:
To make changes to a user's Email on Float, please email support@floatcard.com with the following information:
Please note: Only Primary Admins and Admins can make these changes on behalf of a user on Float
Subject: Changes to {User's Name} Email - Business Name
- A copy of your gov't issued ID for ID verification (we cross reference this with the ID used to sign up with Float to confirm your identity)
- The Email currently used by your Float user.
- The Email to replace the old email.
Once the Float support team verifies all the information provided, we will make the change and confirm via email the changes that have been made.
