Administrators can create rules that help direct Multi-Factor Authentication prompts for the business! This can be done by navigating to Settings > Security > MFA under Business Settings.
Enabling MFA
You can enable MFA for users when they set up their accounts as an added layer of security. Admins can also choose whether MFA is required on every single login (especially handy for users accessing Float on the go or from multiple devices).
Float only supports Time-based One-Time-Passcode (TOTP) for MFA at this time.
-
Require all users to set up MFA for their account logins will prompt a user to enroll a second factor on their next login
-
Require users to use MFA on every login will prompt the user to enter a second factor on every login. When this toggle is disabled, users will be allowed to remember their devices on login, so, after successful authentication, the next time the user logs in on the same device they may not get prompted for a second factor as often.
Pro Tip💡: All MFA/2FA texts will be sent from +1 (548) 483-5636 so adding this number to your spender's contact list will ensure the number is never forgotten!
Resetting MFA
In some instances, users may need to reset their MFA! Only primary administrators can reset MFA from within Float at this time.
If you are a spender, manager, bookkeeper or administrator (not primary administrator), and you would like to reset your MFA for your account, please email support@floatcard.com with a copy of your government-issued ID from the same email address you use as your username for your Float account!
