Active Cards:
If the card is still active when a refund is processed, it will showcase on the 'transactions' page and within the individual card as a refund highlighted in green. The money will go back to the business balance on the account, and the limit on the card will be reflected by removing the amount spent based on what the refund amount was.
Expired Cards:
If a refund is processed on a cancelled card, don't worry, your refund will still be received! Once a refund is processed for a cancelled card, the funds will reflect on the 'transactions' page and the money will be available to spend from the business balance!
This refund amount can still be seen on the original card! Navigate to the 'archived cards' tab from the 'cards' page and select the card the refund was restored to. You will be able to see the refund processed here!
What happens if the refund comes back after the card refreshes at month's end?
If the card has refreshed, then you will find that the refund will show on the new month, and it will remove the amount from the "current spent" that month.
For example, You made a $50 purchase in May and the refund is processed in June, and your card is on a monthly refresh. You will see this refund reflected on your total spending limit that month!
If you add up the transactions for that month, you will note it will be less than what it adds up to, due to the refund.
This will not impact anything about the spender's spending limit, as the card is already expired.
How this would look in Float:
- Under transactions, you will see a refund on the same card, attached to the same spender
- Under business balance, you will see an increase in total 'spend power'
