Uploading Bills
- Navigate to the Bill Pay section.
- Drag-and-drop the bill file or upload it from your computer.
- If you drag-and-drop multiple bill files at once, multiple bills will be created in Float.
2. Email Forwarding:
- Each Float account has a unique email address for bill submissions, found at the bottom of the page in the Bill Pay section.
- Simply forward the bill to this email address, and Float will automatically process and upload it to the "Drafts" section.
- One email with multiple bill attachments will create multiple bills.
3. Auto-Forwarding:
- Configure your email to automatically forward bills to your Bill Pay specific Float email address. This ensures that all bills are captured and uploaded without manual intervention.

1. Importing Bills Automatically from QBO or Xero:
- Only available if you've connected your QBO or Xero accounting system to Float.

- Once connected, you can enable this feature in Bill Pay > Settings, and Float will automatically import unpaid bills from your QBO or Xero accounting system.
- Unpaid bills will sync automatically once each day. You can find them in the Unpaid tab on the Bill Pay page.
2. Importing Bills On-Demand from QBO or Xero:
- If you've created or made changes to a bill in your connected accounting system and you want to pay it immediately from Float, you can initiate an Import on-demand.
- Navigate to the Bill Pay page > In the "Open Bills" summary tile, click "Import Unpaid Bills".
- After importing, you can review the bills in the Unpaid tab from the Bill Pay page, verify vendor payment details if needed, and schedule payments by setting a payment date.
Submitting Bills
1. Review and Edit:
- AI-Powered OCR Technology: Float uses AI-Powered OCR to extract key details from uploaded bills. Review the extracted information for accuracy.
- Edit if Necessary: Make any necessary changes to the bill details.
- Get Approval: Once reviewed, submit the bill for approval. The relevant approvers will be notified via email or Slack.
- Approval Sequence: Approvers can review and approve or deny the bill, ensuring proper oversight and compliance.
3. Schedule Payment:
- Select Payment Date: Choose a payment date for the approved bill. This can be done during the review process or once the bill is approved.
- Payment Confirmation: The bill will move to the Unpaid section, awaiting the scheduled payment date.
