Exporting your bills from Float to a CSV file is quick and easy, allowing you to manage and analyze your financial data effectively and import data to an accounting system of your choice.
When to Use CSV Export
CSV export is helpful if you do not have an accounting integration, and when you need to:
Reconcile Float data with external records
Share a list of bills with your finance or audit team
Manually import bill data into a non-integrated accounting tool
How to Export Bills as a CSV
You can export bills from any section in the Bill Pay page—Drafts, Approvals, Unpaid, or All Bills.

Apply filters
Use the filter options to narrow your results to ensure your export includes the data you need. You can filter by:- Vendor
- Created By
- Bill Currency
- Bill Status
- Click the CSV export button
Once your filters are set, click the CSV button in the top right corner of the page to download your file. -
Open the CSV file
To avoid formatting issues in Excel:- Open Excel first
- Use the Import function
- Select your downloaded CSV file
By following these steps, you can easily export your bills and have detailed financial records at your fingertips.
- The CSV file will not download instantly. Large requests can take up to a few minutes to download
- Once the file is ready, you’ll receive an email and an in-app notification with a link to download the file
