Can a Category be changed?

Categories are based on Merchant Category Codes, which are self-reported by the Merchant. We are not able to change the Merchant Category Code that the Merchant assigns. We may be able to update which Category a specific Merchant Category Code is assigned to.

If you believe a Merchant belongs in a different Category, please contact Support and we can investigate if the Merchant Category Code can be re-assigned or if it’s correctly assigned to the Category that best classifies all Merchants within that Merchant Category Code.
